As you know the End-of-Year Concert is always a highlight of our year. This letter contains all the information that you will need to have in order to decide if you would like your children to participate, as well as all the relevant details regarding, dates, costumes, rehearsals and costs.
This document constitutes the Terms and Conditions regarding the 2018 End-of-Year Concert.
We are delighted to hold our annual concert at
The Singapore Airlines Theatre at Lasalle College of the Arts
The themes this year will be
Fairytales & Fantasies
An important factor in learning to dance is preparing and learning to perform on stage. Having said that, the participation in the concert is not mandatory and classes will commence as normal regardless. It is common practice to learn a dance routine irrespective of whether or not a performance is planned.

CLASS COMMITMENT
Students in the performance need to attend class on a regular basis with limited absences. If a student is absent, often they will miss out on instruction and dance technique which the teachers build on each week. This may affect their ability to learn their performance dance as well as lowering their confidence if their classmates have learned things that they have missed.
DRESS REHEARSAL
The dress rehearsal offers students the opportunity to get familiar and become comfortable with their performance and costume. It can be disruptive for both the students and their class if they are not present at this rehearsal and as such attendance is MANDATORY. We will do our very best to schedule the rehearsals to work for all, but we cannot accommodate everyone’s needs.
TECHNICAL REHEARSAL
The technical rehearsal offers students the opportunity to get familiar with the stage and its surroundings as well as the lighting and sound requirements. It can be disruptive for both the students and their class if they are not present at this rehearsal and as such attendance is MANDATORY. We will do our very best to schedule the rehearsals to work for all, but we cannot accommodate everyone’s needs.
COSTUMES
Ultimately, glitzy and special costumes are what separate a mere practice from a performance for our dancers! Although we try VERY hard to consider cost when picking a costume, they do vary in price and start from $70. These costume orders are placed as a bulk order, and it is vital that we get forms and costume money from all participants on or before the due date of September 15th in order to ensure a timely delivery.
Tanglin Arts Studio assumes no responsibility regarding the quality of the dance costumes or the delivery date as this is a third party agreement. However, we will make every effort to avoid problems by liaising closely with the costume makers from the placing of the order through to the delivery. Costumes will be handed out in November. In order to avoid disappointment, please ensure your account is settled in full as we are unable to hand out costumes to those with money owing.
Please acknowledge the receipt and your acceptance of the performance requirements by ticking the box below and paying for your dancer’s costume(s) and performance fee. We are unable to order costumes without this acknowledgement or payment of the performance and costume fees. You may online, via bank transfer, credit card or NETS
Form and payment must be received by Saturday 15thSeptemberto ensure costume delivery in time for the concert.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at xxxx xxxx or send us an email [email protected]
